Mount Dhaulagiri is the Seventh highest mountain in the world. It lays to the north-west of Pokhara and to the east of the Annapurna Himalayas range. It is about 34 km away from Mt. Annapurna I. The word “Dhaulagiri” is a combination of “Dhaula” and “Giri” in Sanskrit Language.

“Dhaula” means dazzling, white, beautiful and “Giri” is mountain. Dhaulagiri I is also the highest point of the Gandaki river basin. It was tried to climb for more than five times and finally eight team member of Swiss conquered the summit in 1960.
Dhaulagiri Mountain has an altitude of 8167 meters above sea level and it lies in the north west of Myagdi district of Nepal. The first successful ascent of the mountain was done by Kurt Diemberger, Peter Diener, Nawang Dorje, Nima Dorje, Ernst Forrer and Albin Schelbert on 13 May 1960. The first winter ascent was done by Andrzejczok and Jerzy Kukuczka on 21 January 1985. The peak is famous for its technically challenging routes and unique shape.
Most of the Dhaulagiri Expedition till the date is done by north-east route by which the first expedition was done but it can be done by every route. The trip starts with a drive to Beni and from there the trek starts in splendid trials until we reach to the base camp. You will be guided by our experienced and well trained guides throughout your journey.

Today we will drive to Pokhara. The drive takes about 5 to 6 hours from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara.
Drive form Kathmandu to Pokhara which will take 5 to 6 hour. And again drive to Beni which will take 5 to 6 hours. Over night at hotel
We have to take a short trek from Galeshwor to Tatopani.
We have to take a short trek from Tatopani to ghasa.
We have to take a short trek from Larjung to Marpha.
We have to take a short trek from Marpha to Yak khark
We have to take a short trek from Yak khark to Dhaulagiri base camp
In this period we climb the mountain.
In this day we prepare for getting back.

We will have a travel from jomsom to pokhara by flight which will take about 20 min.
We will have a travel from pokhara by flight which will take about 30 min. Or you can have a road travel if you have a time.

After breakfast we will transfer you to Tribhuvan International airport (TIA) three hour before your flight you have to reach there
