Annapurna Base Camp Luxury trek is designed to give a luxurious trip to our customers in the Himalayas of Nepal. Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most celebrated and happening trek that takes us to base camp of Annapurna which is the tenth highest peak in the world. The trek goes through the ethnically varied villages, dense forest providing habitat to diverse range of flora and fauna. The trek continues along the Modi Khola upstream into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a valley surrounded by soaring Himalayas which including Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri.
We will start this journey with a spectacular flight from Kathmandu to the lake city of Pokhara through the snowcapped Himalayas. This classic trek winds around Gurung villages and Rhododendron forest which is further accompanied by a hike to Poon hill for the superb Himalayan panorama of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Annapurna south and Macchapuchhare.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m). Overnight at a Hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (900 m) in a Tourist Bus – 7 hours. Overnight at a Hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m) – 4 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 05: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) – 7 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Chhomrong (2,140 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) – 6 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) – 7 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 12: Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,400 m) in a Tourist Bus – 7 hours. Overnight at a Hotel.
Day 13: Transfer to the International Airport for Your Final Departure.
The best time to trek to Annapurna Region is during autumn (September- November) and Spring (March – May). Annapurna Region is beautiful throughout the year but during these seasons you get to see the most beautiful pictures of Annapurna Region. Some of the places of Annapurna Region like Upper Mustang, Muktinath, Kagbeni and Jomsom can be visited any time during the year.
Our accommodation will be in 3 star hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara. During the trek you will be staying in tea houses or lodges. All accommodations are on twin share basis. Single supplement rooms can be provided on request with an additional charge. Although the rooms are easily available in Kathmandu and Pokhara it is very difficult to arrange single supplement rooms during the trek. In such case Actual Adventure Pvt.Ltd will look for the best alternatives.
All meals will be provided during our Annapurna Base Camp Trek including welcome and farewell dinners in Kathmandu. The meals during our stay in Kathmandu will be provided in high class typical Nepali restaurants which serve you with delicious Nepali cuisines whereas we will have our breakfast and dinner in the tea houses/ lodges on trek. We will spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. We suggest you to try out the most popular local foods like Thakali food while you are trekking in Annapurna Region. The local foods are healthier and give a lot of energy during your trekking trials.
Water is an essential part of your trek. You need to drink plenty of water during your. Most of the diseases during your trek are caused by drinking impure water. However it is not that the water in the mountain region is impure. It is natural and clean the people there consume it direct from the tap. But, since you are not used to you may get directly affected and consuming water direct from the tap might ruin your trek. Here are the tips for consuming water during Everest Base Camp Trek.
1.Mineral Water/ Bottled water.
Mineral water or Bottled water is available at most of the tea houses. The bottled water costs normally 1 Dollar per liter. If you find it in any tea houses it is better to carry an extra bottle because it may not be available anywhere during the trek.
2.Boiled Water
Drinking boiled water is probably the best method while trekking in the mountains. It is highly effective treatment for killing the bacteria from the water. You can boil the water in the tea house and carry it along with you during the trek. The tea hoses charges normally one to two dollars to boil the water.
3.Purified Water.
You can bring your own water purification tablets like Aquatabs®, Chlorine tablets, Bhromine Tablets along with you. It helps to save your budget as well.
4.Filtered Water.
You can also use filtered water as well during your Everest Base Camp Trek. This can be an alternate where boiling is not preferred and also there is not any availability of other purified water. The filters like hand pump are effective in removing protozoa, bacteria and chemicals/toxins from the water but may not be effective removing the viruses.
The Annapurna Region trek is relatively easier than any other treks in Nepal like Everest Base Camp Trek. Anyone with sound physical fitness and who can walk up to 6-7 hours a day can easily complete the trek. Annapurna region trekking does not require any prior trekking experience however if you have it can add up a plus point for you. Some of the trekking destinations of Annapurna Region like Ghorepani Poonhill, Jomsom, Muktinath, and e.t.c can be the best destination for first time trekkers.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m). Overnight at a Hotel.
As your aircraft lands in Tribhuwan International Airport our representative will receive you and help you to transfer into the hotel of your choice.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (900 m) in a Tourist Bus – 7 hours. Overnight at a Hotel.
After having breakfast you will drive to Pokhara in a tourist vehicle. The drive to Pokhara is one of the most wonderful drives you will ever have. The drive goes through the scenic route of Prithivi Highway en route you can also see some historical and religious sites of Nepal. Moreover, the beautiful city of lakes welcomes you with its divine natural beauty. Overnight at luxurious hotel in Pokhara.
Day 03: Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m) – 4 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
On the third day of Annapurna Base Camptrek you will have breakfast at Pokhara and then drive to Nayapul. From Nayapul you will trek to Tikhedunga. From Nayapul the trek starts following Modi Khola and winds around bamboo forest, waterfall and terraced farmland to Sudami where we will have our lunch. After having lunch we will continue the trek through the sub tropical valley forest to Tikhedhunga. Overnight in a luxurious guest house in Tikhedhunga.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
From Tikledhunga the trail steeply goes uphill offering the magnificent vista of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare to the Magar village of Ulleri. From Ulleri the trail gradually goes uphill through pasture and cultivated land to Banthanti and Nangethanti where we will stop to have lunch. After having lunch we will continue the walk through rhododendron and oak forest to our camping site in Ghorepani which is surrounded by rhododendron trees itself. Overnight in a luxurious hotel in Ghorepani.
Day 05: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) – 7 hours. Overnight at a Guest house.
Early in the morning we will hike up to Poon Hill (3210m) to witness the awe-inspiring vista of sun rising over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif along with the hodgepodge of much other snow- capped peaks. After accomplishing glorious summit of Poon Hill we will hike back to Ghorepani, have breakfast and descend down through the Rhododendron forest to Tadapani. Overnight in a luxurious guest house in Tadapani.
Day 06: Trek to Chhomrong (2,140 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
Today on the sixth day of Annapurna Base CampTrek we will trek to Chhomrong. The trek begins with a short climb up to Kimrung danda for an hour. From there the trial again descends to Kimrong Khola and again climbs up to Chere Danda. A final descent from Chere Danda will take us to Chhomrong village. The trial today gives an amazing picture of mountains like Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Fishtail Mountain and Gangapurna. Overnight in Luxurious guest house in Chhomorong.
Day 07: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) – 6 hours. Overnight at Himalayan Hotel.
We will have our breakfast at Chhomrong and then start our trek to Himalaya Hotel. At first we will descend to Chhomrong Khola and then ascend to Khuldighar which is an old permit check post. You can see fewer trees as you gain more heights. The trial then descends following a steep trial down a rock bank and then goes through thick bamboo bushes along the west side of the river. A short walk through the bamboo and rhododendron forests will take us to Himalayan Hotel. Overnight at Himalayan Hotel.
Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) – 7 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
We will have our breakfast at Himalayan hotel and then trek to Annapurna Base Camp. En route we will also visit Machhapuchare Base Camp. From MBC the altitude rise abruptly and vegetation disappears. On the way we will encounter with snow boulders melting and forming small streams. As we enter Sanctuary the trail widens and offers the opulent view of Annapurna south. The base camp possess vibrant 360degree panorama of Machhapuchhare, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli along with many other peaks. Stay overnight in Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 09: Trek to Bamboo (2345 m) – 6 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
We will have our breakfast at Annapurna Base Camp and then we will leave Chhomrong and descend down the trail following Modi Khola, and then climb up through the dense forest of bamboo, Rhododendron and oak to Sinuwa (2250m). From Sinuwa the trail further goes through Rhododendron forest to Kuldi and then to Bamboo. Stay overnight in Bamboo.
Day 10: Trek to Jhinu (1,780 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.
We will have our breakfast at Bamboo and move to Jhinu. Today the trail goes downhill to our camping site in Dovan. Overnight at Jhinu.
Day 11: Trek to Nayapul (1,010 m), Drive to Pokhara – 5.5 hours and Guided Tour of Barahi Temple and Fewa Lake. Overnight at a Hotel.
After having an early morning breakfast at Jhinu we will trek down to Naypul. From Nayapul we will drive back to Pokhara for about 2 hour. Upon reaching Pokhara we will roam around lake side and also visit Barahi Temple. Overnight at luxurious hotel in Pokhara.
Day 12: Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,400 m) in a Private Jeep – 7 hours. Overnight at a Hotel.
After having breakfast at Pokhara we will drive back to Kathmandu today. After reaching Kathmandu you can rest in the hotel or roam around the city. Overnight at luxurious hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Transfer to the International Airport for Your Final Departure.

The departure scheduled would be changed on any unavoidable circumstance like weather hazards, trail slides, soil erosion, avalanches, sudden sickness, etc. The program can be customized as per the interest of the clients.
NOTE: During the trip, the unpredictable factors like, weather, local politics, transport and many more which are beyond our control can bring some change in the itinerary. In such case, if the alternation in the itinerary is necessary, then the trek leader will decide for the best alternative with the consent and interest of the whole group. Autumn season gives you the most favorable weather for trekking with warm and dry climate. Autumn seasons falls during the months of September, October and November. Autumn season is also the season of festivals. You can feel the festival vibes everywhere while trekking in Nepal during Autumn. On the other hand you can get the best pictures while trekking Annapurna Region during Autumn Season.
Spring in Nepal is regarded as one of the best season for trekking and mountain climbing. Spring season occurs in Nepal in the months of March, April and May. You can have a heavenly experience trekking in Annapurna Region during spring. You can see varieties of blooming wild floras and forests blanketed with rhododendron flowers during your trials. Summer season is not very popular season for trekking in Annapurna Region. Summer season in Nepal takes place in between the months of June to August. The monsoon seasons combines with summer in Nepal. Thus, Nepal receives a wet summer with hot temperature. Although the temperature gets cooler as you gain altitude but the trials can be affected by heavy rainfall and mudslides. However, some of the regions which lie in the rain-shadow area like Upper Mustang, Jomsom, and Muktinath can be visited throughout the year. If you love challenges and thrill then this season can be the best for you to explore Annapurna Region. In spite of the challenges you can get the best views and true colors of nature while trekking to Annapurna Region during summer.
Winter Season takes place in Nepal in the months of December to February. Since it is freezing cold and some of the high passes are closed in the higher altitudes due to snow this season is not recommend for trekking in Annapurna Region. However, if you want to enjoy peaceful trekking trials with fewer trekkers then you can choose this season with proper gears and clothing equipment. Despite the challenges, the winter season in Annapurna Region gives you the best view of snowcapped mountains.

Nationals from Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan will need to obtain visa from Nepal Embassies or Diplomatic Missions in their respective countries, as they do not get visa on arrival at the immigration entry points of Nepal.

Acclimatization is very important when you are trekking to an altitude of more than 3500m. Proper acclimatization helps to reduce the chances of Altitude Sickness. The itinerary is designed with proper acclimatization that will help your body to adopt the lower oxygen content in the air. Once you reached an altitude of 5000m the oxygen content in the air is less than 50% than that of the sea level. One of the main causes of altitude sickness is staying too long at high altitude without proper acclimatization. If in case you suffer from altitude sickness, the guides will notice the symptoms and then drop you to the lower altitude immediately. You have to inform to your guide if you notice any discomfort or symptoms of AMS. Major altitude sickness might need emergency helicopter rescue so make sure your travel insurance covers all the risk including helicopter rescue.
The numbers of Solo travelers are increasing rapidly in recent few years in Nepal. Nepal, being a beautiful and peace loving country is also one of the safest countries for solo travelers. However, the cost for solo traveler might be expensive since single supplement is very difficult to find and are expensive as well in the mountain regions.
For some trekking can be a short break from social medias and internet whereas for some internet and communication is a means to stay connected with near and dear ones during trekking. While travelling in the remotest areas you may not have facilities of telephone and internet. Satellite phone

Wi-Fi
Most of the tea houses and lodges now provide Wi-Fi service. You can get free Wi-Fi in some of the lodges. But most of the lodges take extra charge for Wi-Fi. They charge you normally $5 for unlimited Wi-Fi coverage. However, the speed of the internet may not be faster like that of the cities.
Mobile data
Mobile Data can be the cheaper way to get in touch with your family and friends in the Annapurna Region. You can buy a local sim card from a private company in Nepal and activate your data. The cost od data pack varies per MB. A telecommunication company in Nepal, NCELL has launched 3G connectivity since 2010. So you can have a better internet experience in the Annapurna Region through mobile data as well.
