Everest base camp trek trekking is one of the life time dreams for adventure and trekkers, but we know due to the lack of enough time or leave from work everybody cannot make it, we are very conscious with your desire and design this Everest base camp trek rapid 13 days. Normally Everest base camp trek is 14 days trekking and 03 days we keep extra day including arrival and departure in the Kathmandu. This is rapid itinerary and we will have no any extra acclimatization day neither Namche nor Dengboche, other regular Trekkers prefer 02 days acclimatization in Namche and Dengboche similarly. If you are fit, healthily and already had attitude acclimatized this 13 days Everest base camp Trek is perfect.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our friendly team at Tribhuvan International Airport. They will assist you with the necessary formalities and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. After settling in, take some time to rest and recover from your journey or explore the bustling streets of Thamel, a popular tourist area filled with shops, restaurants, and cultural delights.
An early morning adventure begins with a thrilling flight to Lukla, a small mountain airstrip perched on the edge of a steep cliff. The short 30-minute flight offers spectacular views of the Himalayas, including Everest, as you soar above the clouds. Upon arrival in Lukla, meet the rest of your trekking crew, including guides and porters. The trek starts with a gradual descent towards the Dudh Koshi River and follows the Everest Base Camp trail, passing through picturesque Sherpa villages and lush forests. Enjoy the serene surroundings as you make your way to Phakding, a charming village situated along the riverbank.
As the sun rises, continue your trek along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges adorned with colorful prayer flags. The trail leads you through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests, offering glimpses of the snow-capped peaks. After a few hours of trekking, you'll reach Monjo, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Here, your permits will be checked before continuing to the bustling Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. The final section of the trail includes a challenging uphill climb, but the rewards are well worth it with breathtaking views of Everest and the surrounding peaks.
Acclimatization is crucial for adapting to the increasing altitude and reducing the risk of altitude sickness. Instead of trekking, today is a rest day in Namche Bazaar. You have the option to explore the town's colorful markets, visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum, or hike to Everest View Hotel, which offers panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and more. Taking this day to rest and acclimatize will significantly improve your chances of successfully completing the trek.
Leaving Namche Bazaar, the trail winds through the hillside, providing stunning views of Everest and Ama Dablam. Descend to the Dudh Koshi River and cross another suspension bridge before a steady ascent towards Tengboche. Along the way, you'll pass through rhododendron forests and might encounter some local wildlife, such as Himalayan thars or musk deer. Tengboche is famous for its ancient Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region. The spiritual ambiance and panoramic mountain views make this a magical place to spend the night.
After a peaceful morning in Tengboche, continue your journey through rhododendron and juniper forests. The trail descends to the Imja Khola River, and after crossing a suspension bridge, it's time for a gradual climb towards Dingboche. The landscape starts to change as you venture higher, with less vegetation and more barren terrain. Dingboche is a picturesque village surrounded by stone walls, and its location offers stunning views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and other Himalayan giants.
To further acclimatize to the altitude, spend another rest day in Dingboche. You can take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill for breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks or opt for a leisurely day to relax and soak in the serene mountain ambiance. Use this day to prepare yourself for the challenging days ahead as you ascend to higher altitudes.
Leaving Dingboche, you'll gradually ascend towards the Khumbu Glacier and pass the memorial site for climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The trail leads you through the vast glacial moraine before reaching Lobuche, a small settlement surrounded by towering peaks. As you approach Lobuche, you'll notice the increasing thinness of the air, reminding you of the high-altitude challenge that lies ahead.
The most awaited day of the trek has finally arrived. Leaving Lobuche, you'll trek towards Gorak Shep, the last outpost before Everest Base Camp. After a quick lunch, it's time to fulfill your dreams as you trek to Everest Base Camp itself. The journey takes you across the Khumbu Glacier and along a rugged trail that challenges both your body and mind. Standing at the base of the world's highest peak is an overwhelming and emotional experience. Marvel at the surrounding icefalls and seracs as you take in the enormity of your achievement. After spending some time at Everest Base Camp, you'll trek back to Gorak Shep for a well-deserved rest.
An early morning start awaits as you embark on a journey to Kala Patthar, one of the most famous vantage points for spectacular sunrise views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. The trail is steep and challenging, but the reward of witnessing the sunrise over Everest is beyond compare. Capture the breathtaking scenery with your camera and in your memories before descending back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. Afterward, you'll begin the trek back down to Pheriche, descending to lower altitudes for better acclimatization and a chance to rest.
As you continue your descent, the air starts to feel thicker, and the scenery changes once more as you pass through rhododendron and pine forests. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes and the familiar trails as you make your way back to Namche Bazaar. Celebrate your achievements and take a moment to appreciate the camaraderie of your fellow trekkers and the welcoming hospitality of the Sherpa people.
On this final full day of trekking, you'll say goodbye to Namche Bazaar and make your way back to Lukla. Enjoy the last views of the Himalayas as you descend through the beautiful landscapes and charming villages that have become familiar over the past few days. Upon reaching Lukla, take some time to relax and celebrate the successful completion of your epic journey.
As the sun rises over the mountains, you'll board a short flight back to Kathmandu, bidding farewell to the Everest region. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest, explore more of Kathmandu's cultural gems, or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs and memories to take back home.

everest base camp trek route Actual Adventure” Kathmandu organized EBC trek for us in a very professional manner.Right from receiving us at Kathmandu airport( Mr. Sujan had come to recieve us at airport) where we were given traditional welcome with Marigold garlands to dropping us at Ramechhep airport where our flight to Lukla was arranged in a jiffy. The main Guide “Mr.Deepak” and the assistant guides “Subhash” and “Bisht” were god sent. They took c... See more are of us like family members and ensured that we complete the trek successfully and we did ! They informed us about all the important way points and the peaks that we saw along the way. Our sherpas, “The super humans” could not stop us from feeling surprised each day, with their vigor and enthusiasm, not to talk about their strength ! The accommodation at all stations right from Phakding to Gorakshep was done on twin sharing room basis and was very comfortable. All three meals including a drink( Soft drink) was included through-out the 11 day trek. Our main guide even modified the itinerary to suit our group’s needs. The actual adventure organizer “Mr. Kedar” was a part of the whatsapp group and kept encouraging us at each station. It energised us and we kept yearning for more and more. The hotel at Kathmandu was a decent one and was right in the heart of “Thamel” market. The rooms were good and neat . On our return, we were presented with certificates by “Actuals Adventures” of having completed the EBC trek. The only improvement which the organizer can do is that they can make it very clear at the time of booking itself that the flight to Lukla would be from Ramechhap airport and not Kathmandu airport. Because we were given an impression that the cost was inclusive of airfare from KTM to LUKLA. All in all, we were very happy with Actuals Adventures hospitality and its organizing capabilities. Satisfied with AA I found this company from trip advisor. The reviews were quit satisfying so I choose it for my trek to Everest Base Camp. I’m glad choosing this company. Kedar the managing director of the company was a very talented and humble person with great management skills. He had managed everything by the time we landed in Nepal. The accommodation, food and guides were great. I highly recommend this company. Australia,

“Authenic Himalaya Adventure ” had a great time with Lakpa Sherpa, he was very knowledgable and took the time to stop and explain all of the landmarks and wildlife. The trek was beautiful.! Unfortunately I fell sick with AMS and had to be air lifted out. The team were very quick to react to my illness, I had to be carried to the helipad and was given the best care anyone could ask for.
