On the first day upon your arrival at Tribhuvan international airport our representatives will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the respective hotel in Kathmandu. We will also provide you a warm welcome dinner. On the next day we will take you on a tour to Kathmandu valley and Namobuddha. We will take you to the famous UNESCO world heritage site and religious site Soyambhunath Stupa and Boudanath stupa. Likewise, on the next day we will take you to Pharping village which lies in the south of Kathmandu. There are several monasteries and a statue of Guru Rinpoche. After then we will be visiting Lumbini which is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. We will drive back to Kathmandu after visiting Lumbini.
Welcome to the country of Gautam Buddha. Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, our representatives will be waiting to receive you at the airport. They will take you to your respective hotel and at the evening we will provide you a warm welcome dinner. Overnight at Kathmandu.
On the second day of the Buddhist Pilgrimage tour we will have breakfast at Kathmandu and drive to Namo Buddha. Namo Buddha is one of the holiest Buddhist Pilgrimate sites in the world situated 40km away from Kathmandu. It is located in the southeast of Kathmandu. It takes about 1 and half hour from Kathmandu to reach Namo Buddha. After visiting this holy site we will return back to Kathmandu and visit Boudhanath Stupa. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world. The stupa lies in the ancient trade route from Tibet which enters Kathmandu valley. It is also one of the UNESCO world Heritage Sites. After visiting Boudhanath Stupa we will drive to Soyambhunath Stupa which is one of the oldes Buddhist Monasteries and also listed in UNESCO world heritage site. Soyambhunath Stupa is also popular from the name of The Monkey Temple. The formation of the Kathmandu valley can be clearly seen from the Soyambhunath Stupa. After that we will return back to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu. .
After having our breakfast we will drive to Pharping. Pharping is a town that lies in the south of Kathmandu. There are several monasteries and a huge statue of Guru Rinpoche. There are two caves in Pharping in which Guru Rinpoche has meditiated. Pharping has also been visited by many great beings like Marpa Lotsawa, who practiced, made offerings, Ganachakra feasts, and aspiration prayers and many more. Pharping is blessed by enormous beauty and different Buddhist sites. After visiting Pharping we will return back to Hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
We will have our breakfast and drive to Lumbini. If you don’t want to have a long drive to Lumbini then the other option we have is to fly to Bhairahawa and drive to Lumbini. The drive to Lumbini from Kathmandu is about 7-8 hours. Upon reaching Lumbini we will check-in to the hotel and get fresh. Since it is a long journey we can take rest at the hotel or if you want you can also roam around the surroundings. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. It is the place where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautam. Lumbini is one of the most spiritual sites of the world and is also listed in UNESCO world heritage sites. The main attractions of Lumbini are the Sacred Maya Devi temple, the Ashoka Pillar, the sacred pond and the China Temple. There are shrines and monasteries built by different countries and in different times which reflect the architectural traditions of the respective countries. The Shrines and monasteries gives Lumbini an international feel with a message of universal friendship and brotherhood. It is said that Gautam Buddha walked seven steps right after queen Mayadevi gave birth. The steps are still preserved in the holy site which we can see. After visiting Lumbini we will return back to the hotel. Overnight at Lumbini.
We will drive back to Kathmandu today. We will drive back following the same route. It takes about 7-8 hours from Lumbini to drive back to Kathmandu depending upon the road conditions. Upon reaching Kathmandu if time favors you can also roam around the city. Overnight in Kathmandu.
