The ABC Helicopter Tour from Kathmandu begins with a scenic flight departing from Tribhuvan International Airport. The helicopter flies parallel to Nepal’s northern Himalayan range, offering spectacular aerial views of snow-capped peaks, rolling hills, deep river valleys, ethnic villages, and expanding city landscapes.
As the helicopter approaches the Annapurna region, the scenery dramatically changes into towering mountains and glaciers. You will land at or near Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) and enjoy approximately 15 to 30 minutes on the ground for tea or breakfast while soaking in the majestic views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
Due to high altitude conditions, longer stays are not recommended as they may pose a serious altitude-related health risk. The total duration of the Kathmandu to Annapurna Base Camp helicopter tour is approximately 2 hours, starting and ending at Kathmandu Airport.
The ABC Helicopter Tour from Pokhara is the most popular and time-efficient option. The flight departs from Pokhara Airport and heads north directly toward the Annapurna Massif, following the classic Annapurna Base Camp trekking route from the air.
Enjoy close-up aerial views of terraced farmlands, forested hills, deep gorges, glaciers, and the dramatic Annapurna mountain walls. Upon landing at Annapurna Base Camp, guests are given 15 to 30 minutes for tea or breakfast and photography.
Spending additional time at this altitude is discouraged due to altitude safety concerns. The total duration of the Pokhara to Annapurna Base Camp helicopter tour is approximately 1.5 hours, making it the fastest way to experience the Annapurna Sanctuary.

The Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour was absolutely mind-blowing! I’ve always dreamed of standing beneath Annapurna I, but the idea of trekking for days seemed impossible with my tight work schedule. Thanks to Actual Adventure and the efficient coordination by Sushil Tiwari, I fulfilled that dream in just one day! The flight was smooth, and the views were breathtaking — snow-capped peaks, lush forests, and glacial rivers all unfolding beneath us. We landed at ABC and had about 30 minutes to soak in the views. I was surprised how well organized the entire experience was. Our guide, Rajesh, was knowledgeable and explained the mountains around us. He even carried a thermos of hot tea for the group! This group join tour was also a great way to meet travelers from around the world. At NPR 75,000 per person, it was worth every rupee for the luxury and time saved. I highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Nepal in 2025 or 2026 — fast, scenic, and unforgettable!

The ABC helicopter day tour by Actual Adventure was one of the best travel experiences of my life. As someone who enjoys nature but doesn’t have time for long hikes, this one-day tour was perfect. Sushil Tiwari, the manager, was professional and ensured every detail — from hotel pickup to weather briefings — was clear and timely. We joined a group of 5 for the flight, and it was a smooth and safe ride. The helicopter flew low enough for us to enjoy incredible views of Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna South. Our guide, Pema, shared insights about the area’s Sherpa and Gurung heritage. At the base camp, we were given enough time to walk around, take photos, and breathe in the thin mountain air. The serenity of being at 4,130 meters with no crowd was surreal. We even spotted a few trekkers who were on their 7th day of walking — and there we were in 30 minutes! I highly recommend this for families or anyone with limited time. I’ll be back in 2026 and might do it again with my parents!

Booking the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour with Actual Adventure for 2025 was one of my best travel decisions. I had read about high costs for private charters, but this group join option made it affordable and just as luxurious. For the NPR 45,000 we paid, the service and views were top-class! From the first enquiry, Sushil Tiwari, the manager, was super responsive and helpful. He made sure we got clear instructions and even helped us with hotel pickups in Pokhara. The helicopter pilot was professional, and we felt very safe. Our guide Bikash was cheerful and shared stories about local mountain life. The best part? He helped us capture stunning photos with Annapurna I right behind us. We even had warm drinks on site — such a thoughtful touch. This tour is perfect for honeymooners, elderly travelers, or photographers. No physical stress, just pure Himalayan beauty in less than 4 hours roundtrip. Thank you Actual Adventure for making this bucket list experience so effortless!

I joined the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour in May 2025 and still can’t believe how magical it was. Organized by Actual Adventure, the team was punctual, professional, and passionate. Sushil Tiwari, the company manager, personally greeted us in Pokhara and briefed us on the day’s plan. Flying toward the Annapurna range was like entering another world — peaks pierced the sky and valleys were covered in emerald green. The pilot did a fantastic job navigating through mountain gaps while explaining key landmarks. Our guide Dinesh pointed out Machapuchare and Annapurna South, and helped us understand the spiritual importance of these mountains. We landed softly at base camp, where the chill in the air and the silence was unforgettable. Unlike crowded treks, we had the place almost to ourselves. We drank tea, clicked pictures, and just stood still, awestruck. Group join made this economical, and it felt like we were on a private trip anyway. I recommend doing this in spring (March–May) for the clearest skies. I’ll definitely be back for another adventure with this incredible team.

As a 62-year-old traveler with bad knees, I had almost given up the dream of seeing Annapurna Base Camp. But my son found this one-day helicopter tour with Actual Adventure, and we booked it for our 2026 family trip. What an incredible experience! The team was very supportive. Sushil Tiwari, the manager, called the night before to confirm our flight, weather, and even suggested what clothes to wear. We joined a small group, and the helicopter ride was smooth and scenic. At the base camp, our guide Suman helped me carefully step out and enjoy the surroundings. I can’t describe how I felt seeing those towering white peaks so closely. I cried tears of joy. It was a spiritual moment for me. This tour is ideal for older travelers, families, or people short on time. The cost felt very reasonable for such a luxurious, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you, Actual Adventure, for making it so accessible.
