Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world standing with an altitude of 8163 meters above sea level. The meaning of Manaslu Mountain is ‘mountain of sprit’. The mountain was first climbed on May 9, 1956 by members of Japanese expedition which included Toshio Imanshi and Gyalzen Norbu. This mountain is popularly known for its wonderful views of snow covered mountains, beautiful villages and interaction with different ethnic groups.

Manaslu Expedition is popular among the climbers for its adventurous trials and provides genuine adventures to the trekkers. The first winter ascent of the mountain was made in 12 January 1984 by Maciej Berbeka and Ryszard Gajewski. Till now more than 600 people have attempt to summit Manaslu Mountain. The death rate of the summiteers attempting to summit Manaslu is only about 9 percent which is comparatively lower than other mountains.
